Syrian writer Ibrahim Aljabin reads from his works in the Netherlands

Syrian novelist Ibrahim Aljabin will be a guest at al-Riwaq Literary, Cultural and Artistic Center in Rotterdam in the Netherlands on Sunday, July 2, 2017 (4:00 pm).

In addition to reading from his new novel Ain al-Sharq (ORIENTIS OCULUS), Aljabin will be signing the second edition of his novel, Yawmyat Yahodi fi Dimashq (Diaries of a Jew in Damascus) released by the Arab Institute for Research and Publishing in Beirut, Lebanon, in 2017. The first edition was released in Damascus in 2007.

Aljabin, a prominent television presenter and journalist, who hosted and co-directed several TV programs and documentaries for Al-Jazeera, Orient TV and the Syrian Satellite Channel.

Since he left Syria in late 2011 for security reasons, Aljabin has devoted the revenues of Ain al-Sharq for the Germany-based Lindauhilfe für Syrien, a Syrian-German initiative for children relief at war zones and a member of Deutsche Kinderhilfe (German Children’s Relief).

The event will be hosted by Syrian poet and scenarist Adnan al-Awda.
